Vaulta implements a strict zero-knowledge architecture. All your entries—passwords, ID cards, document scans, bank card details, and money records—are encrypted at rest on your physical device using AES-256 within a secured Hive CE database.

Vaulta runs no central cloud servers that store or parse your vault contents. We have no master keys, no analytics on your secrets, and zero access to your decrypted data.

Your PIN is never saved in plain text. When created, it is combined with a unique, cryptographically random per-device salt and hashed using a secure memory-hard cryptographic hash algorithm. The hash and salt are stored inside the operating system's hardware-backed Keystore / Keychain via Flutter Secure Storage.

When enabled in Settings > Security, Vaulta activates the OS-level secure flag (FLAG_SECURE on Android). This blocks screen recording apps, screenshot attempts, and obscures the app's preview in the recent apps switcher, preventing accidental disclosure in public spaces.

Yes. Vaulta integrates with native platform biometrics (BiometricPrompt on Android / LocalAuthentication on iOS). Biometric verification is handled by your device's secure enclave—Vaulta never sees or stores your biometric templates.

Most budgeting apps require you to link your bank credentials through aggregators that sell or analyze your transaction history. Penny Flow works in reverse: you log income, expenses, cash flows, and transfers manually or with swift presets. All balances and charts are computed 100% on device.

Yes! Penny Flow supports dedicated accounts for Credit Cards and EMIs (Equated Monthly Installments). You can configure statement dates, due dates, credit limits, and track principal versus interest payments easily.

Vaulta bundles the Google ML Kit Vision on-device engine. When you take a photo of a document, passport, or ID, the OCR neural model executes strictly on your phone's NPU/CPU. The source image is neither sent across the internet nor retained outside your encrypted vault.

You can scan identity cards, passports, driver's licenses, credit/debit card numbers, expiry dates, IBANs, tax identifiers, invoices, and serial numbers. Extracted fields can be copied with one tap into your vault record.

When you export a local backup, Vaulta creates a compressed, encrypted .vaulta archive containing your vault items, transaction history, and encrypted attachments. Renaming or inspecting the file reveals only encrypted ciphertext.

Vaulta requests strictly the appDataFolder OAuth scope. This grants access exclusively to a hidden app-specific storage container inside your Google Drive account. Vaulta cannot see, read, or modify your personal Google Drive files, photos, or documents.
